Child Safety Policy
Our Commitment
Agora Talk has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. We are committed to protecting minors on our platform and will take immediate action against any content or behavior that endangers children.
Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Agora Talk:
- Any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Grooming behavior — building trust with a minor for the purpose of sexual abuse or exploitation.
- Solicitation of minors for sexual purposes.
- Sextortion or any form of coercion involving minors.
- Sharing, distributing, or requesting imagery or content that sexualizes minors.
- Any content that normalizes or promotes sexual conduct involving minors.
These prohibitions apply to all content on the platform including text-cast messages, user bios, group descriptions, and avatars.
Our Approach
- Moderation: All public text-casts are subject to review by our moderation team. Content that violates this policy is removed immediately.
- Account enforcement: Users who violate this policy are permanently banned from Agora Talk without warning.
- Reporting to authorities: Confirmed CSAM and CSAE content is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via their CyberTipline, as required by law. We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations.
- Minimum age: Users must be at least 13 years of age to create an Agora Talk account, in compliance with COPPA. Users under 18 are not permitted to host text-casts.
How to Report
If you encounter content or behavior on Agora Talk that you believe constitutes child sexual abuse or exploitation, please report it immediately:
- In-app: Long-press the offending content and select "Report."
- Email: safety@agora.talk
- Urgent: If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 (1-800-THE-LOST).
All reports are reviewed promptly and treated with the highest priority.
